Magnolia Cookies In-Store Motion Graphic Ad
Client: Stew Leonard’s
Project Type: In-Store Digital Ad
Role: Motion Graphics Designer, Video Editor

Project Breakdown
Stew Leonard’s wanted a fun, eye-catching ad to introduce Magnolia Cookies in their stores. The goal was to get customers to stop and take notice as they walked by.
I filmed the cookie footage at home using a rotating display and professional lighting. This gave me full control over how the product looked on camera. I focused on capturing the cookies' golden-brown texture to make them look warm and fresh out of the oven.
To take it a step further, I added animated cookie spins and bold text that matched the brand’s style. The video combined real footage with animation to keep things visually interesting and easy to follow.

Making the cookies look delicious and high-quality while filming at home

How I Solved It
Set up a small home studio with proper lighting and a rotating table for smooth shots.
Used After Effects to match the motion of the real cookies with animated versions.
Added bold, simple text that matched Stew Leonard’s branding and helped tell the story fast.
Kept the pacing tight so it would work well on an in-store display.
The Result
The finished ad was displayed on screens inside the store. It helped bring attention to the new cookies and fit right in with the store’s look and feel. Even though it was shot at home, the final product felt polished and professional—just like something made in a full studio.
