Breakdown

Discovery & Creative Direction

  • Met with the client to understand the camp’s mission and how the logo would be used

  • Defined goals: kid-appeal, local pride, and adaptability across merch and digital

  • Identified the Brooklyn Bridge as a must-have visual anchor

Concept Sketches & Exploration

  • Sketched three concepts featuring variations of the Brooklyn skyline and bridge

  • Explored ways to keep the composition fun but still legible on shirts, bags, and online

Illustration & Logo Design

  • Hand-drew a stylized Brooklyn Bridge in Adobe Illustrator to give the logo a local heartbeat

  • Incorporated a sunrise backdrop to represent growth and new beginnings

  • Used a neon color palette (lime green, sky blue, bright orange) to energize the visual tone

  • Paired a chalk-style font for “Brooklyn” with clean sans-serif fonts for the subtext

Revisions & Finalization

  • Collaborated closely with the client to brighten colors and make the bridge more prominent

  • Refined the design for clarity across all sizes, from social icons to embroidery

  • Delivered final logo in both CMYK and RGB formats for multi-use flexibility

Solution

The goal was to create something energetic, meaningful, and memorable for both kids and parents. By blending a custom Brooklyn Bridge illustration with bright colors and playful typography, I was able to craft a logo that instantly feels local and inviting. The design works across digital platforms, physical merchandise, and summer promo materials—bringing a unified look to the entire camp experience.

Final Results

The logo launched successfully across merchandise and social channels. Parents responded positively to the local pride, while kids loved the colors and sunrise theme. With a strong visual identity in place, Brooklyn Little Leaders Experience now stands out with a brand that feels personal, professional, and fun.
